It’s been a hard winter for many but spring is on the horizon. Outdoor playdates, park exploring, and Easter egg hunts are just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to start breaking out your spring kids style. One of the awesome perks of being a twin mom is having fun dressing them up. I’ll only be able to do it for so long, so I’m going to make the most of it!
Today I’m talking comfort, fashion and coordinating your cuties, and I have a $50 OshKosh B’gosh gift card to give away to one lucky reader. Plus you get a 20% coupon code just for being here!
why comfort is my #1 in Spring
When my daughter was born, I was gifted so many adorable (and expensive) outfits that were worn once and never made it out of the dresser again. I quickly learned that items without elastic, or made of delicate fabrics never get worn. Either that or they never emerge from the wash basket.
Even now, my daughter will only wear clothes with an elasticated waistband. Her twins brothers are much the same, and can you blame them? Who wants to climb rocks and go exploring in uncomfortable clothes? I now have practicality goggles when buying kids clothes… if it’s not soft, comfy and easy to wash, it ain’t happening.
why style is a close #2 when granny comes to town
Easter is coming, and family want pictures. Whether you’re posing with the Easter bunny or looking for a Sunday best to impress the grandparents… now is the time to find something cute to show off your little one’s spring kids style. Granny came into town this week and I wanted the perfect outfits for the Boys to be comfortable and adorable.
We tend to stick to T-Shirts in the Arizona heat, but with it being a little cooler at the moment, I thought I’d style them up with another layer. I love the preppy layering of an open shirt over a tee… super cute. This look is easily smartened up by buttoning the shirt, so we’re ready to go straight from family lunch to the park!

We took a bubble machine to the park… so much fun!
How OshKosh B’Gosh Helps Co-ordinate the twins style
I’ve very rarely matched the Twins’ outfits. It’s so much more fun to coordinate them… it gives them their own unique style but allows me my mom fun because it’s the cutest. OshKosh B’gosh is one of my favorite stores for coordinating colors and styles. I love that I can pick out a number of different items and they can be mixed together in different combinations.
The outfits I picked from the OshKosh Spring range are totally different, yet they coordinate in color palette and personality. The ‘his Royal Highness’ tee immediately caught my eye for George… he is my little princess. Arthur is my cool dude and the denim and ‘Sup tee is perfect. What I love is they could totally swap the top layer and the outfit would be just as cute.
Keeping Spring Kids style Activity Appropriate
Can I talk shoes? My kids are the fussiest! I think it’s because we live in the desert and for 90% of the year you could comfortably be bare foot. Trouble is there are rocks, and poisonous spiders and dare I say it… scorpions.
I’m constantly trying to find shoes the Twins will not throw a tantrum over. Plus, in the height of summer it is 120 degrees outside… so I need breathable shoes, appropriate for climbing, jumping and general toddler action. Even if you choose to squeeze your kids into those cute skinny jeans this Easter, let them have some age appropriate shoes… small girls in heels make me sad.
I’ve actually never bought OshKosh shoes before and was a little nervous the Twins were going to reject them, because any shoe could be at their mercy. No exaggeration… these sandals are the best shoes they’ve ever had. They can wear them comfortably without socks, they are wide enough for their toddler feet, they do up easily, and there is a hardy rubber sole wrapping up over the toe. Love them.
A word about the shorts too… they are chino style and look smart enough for Granny but are super soft and stretchy. These guys gave them a good test run and climbed rocks, stomped bubbles and chased squirrels without any trouble, they might as well have been in sweatpants.

My favorite spring style has to be a t shirt and shorts for the kids with or amazing arizona weather – I love polo shirts and think they look super cute, but sadly my 3 year olds hates the collars 🙁
