It’s that time of year! With a month to go until Halloween, us parents need to get our thinking caps on. When you are a parent of multiples there is an obligation to the World to at least attempt to be creative and have fun with their outfits. They may not go for it, but if the kids are on board, coordinated halloween costumes for twins are adorable!

Whether you plan to make your own or buy ready-made, I hope this collection of ideas will bring inspiration! As well as the Twins, I have an older daughter and I love the idea of getting the three of them in it together. So, I’m brainstorming ideas for siblings and triplets too.
Note: If you are buying online, do check reviews and sizing information. I always find fancy dress costumes a little kookie in their sizing, and reading reviews is the best way to get real information on the fit.
Superhero Halloween Costumes for Twins:
When it comes to superheroes there are so many options! All the Marvel characters can be combined together and will look great. Plus, you can go with sidekicks or enemies… how about Batman and the Joker? I’ve included Harry Potter and Hermione in this category too… they save the day after all!
Mario & Luigi
Batman & Robin
Superman and Wonder Woman
Harry Potter & Hermione
The Gryffindor cloaks can be worn by as many boys and girls as you like. If you have triplets, add Ron Weasley!
TV Character Halloween Costumes for Twins:
Some of my fave halloween costumes for twins are fabulous and adorable, but not necessarily appealing for kids as they get older. The beauty of babies… they have no idea what’s going on, ha! As your twins get older they may want to dress as their favorite TV characters and often these guys come in pairs…
Puppy Doll Pals
PJ Masks
Perfect for Triplets or another sibling!
Elmo and Cookie Monster
For an older sibling just add Big Bird!
Spongebob & Patrick
Fairytale Halloween Costumes for Twins:
Fairytales are full of possibilities… for a whole family affair, how about The Wizard of Oz? Full of fabulous characters to dress up. If I had triplets I’d totally be Dorothy and they’d be the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion!
Little Red Riding Hood & The Big Bad Wolf
For triplets or a sibling, how about including Grandma too!
Alice in Wonderland & The WHite Rabbit
For triplets or a siblings, add the Queen of Hearts or the Cheshire Cat!
Snow White & as many Dwarfs as You Have!
Elsie would make a lovely Snow White but she’s feeling a little disgruntled she only gets two dwarfs, ha!
Beauty & The Beast
Classic Halloween Costumes for Twins:
There are some halloween costumes for twins that have become classics. There is nothing wrong with tradition, and I find anything peanut butter and jelly just adorable!
Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich
Thing 1 and Thing 2
For triplets… just add a Thing 3. Who makes the rules anyway?!
Milk & Cookies
Grady Twins From the Shining
As a horror movie fanatic I would love to do this… Trouble is my identicals are boys!
I hope you’re feeling inspired to get creative this Halloween. I can see some negotiation going on because mine are quite particular in the sensory department. Inflatable Spongebob is definitely a non-starter, lol. I’ll see what I can come up with… have fun!
I loved your article about separating your twin boys! I also have a set of twin boys who will start preschool next August and also are currently in speech therapy for a delay! Your article really hit home to me, mine fight all the time and seek to seriously hurt the other one! I always thought twins were affectionate and caring for their other twin but it isn’t the case with mine! Again, thank you that gives me some time to think about separating mine as well, our downfall will be instead of different classrooms ours would have to be in different schools and I think picking up and dropping off would be a challenge to send 3 of my 4 kids to one school and then the other twin to his own school across town! ☹️
I’m so glad you enjoyed the read 🙂 We have a similar issue with classrooms. Our local school only had one special needs class so I’m having to drive a little to the hub school where they have multiple classrooms. Trouble is, it’s the opposite direction to my daughter’s Montessori school which is already quite a drive! ??
